Satsuki
is originally from Fukuoka, south of Japan. After completing a Graduate School of
Fine Arts at Kyushu Sangyo University Satsuki is now teaching calligraphy at the college and her studio in Fukuoka. |

I would like to hold this exhibition as my overall summary of my stay in UK as I’m going back to Japan this coming
August. I have studied further on calligraphy and bookbinding here. I was also thinking to do something
to support the victims of Japan Quake in March.
I am using Japanese materials such as Japanese papers, old Kimono cloths I brought from Japan to make some pieces of
calligraphy and books.
I also use some natural pigments which I made from Earth.
The place of the exhibition is a textile design studio where beautiful and natural materials are used for their crafted
clothes. It has a wonderful natural light and relaxed atmosphere. I think you will enjoy the space as well
as my exhibition.
I am waiting for you with Japanese tea and Japanese sweets there.
All the money made in this exhibition will be donated to the group to support Japan Quake
in English
